WORSHIP

Everyone is welcome to come to services and to take Holy Communion. Our worship is broadly traditional, with an emphasis on preaching, but with freedom to use contemporary music and other forms of communication. There is an opportunity to share personal joys and concerns in prayer.

 

Through our varied Sunday services, Godalming United Church offers a variety of ways to worship:

 

9:00am Holy Communion

(First Sunday in each month)

 

10:30am Morning Worship

The style of this service varies from week to week and includes Family Worship. On the third Sunday of the month, all are welcome to take Communion or receive a blessing. No set liturgy is adhered to. All are welcome to join eMerge breakfast before the service from 9.00am, and refreshments are served afterwards. All morning services are recorded onto CDs that can be borrowed if someone misses a service.

 

6:30pm Evening Services

These are shared with St John the Evangelist, Farncombe, where Eucharist and a Taizé Service is held, and also include a Prayer Service at a church in the Methodist Circuit, and Holy Communion on the fourth Sunday of the month at Godalming United Church.

 

At 10.15am every Tuesday there is a service of Holy Communion.

 

Between 10.30am and 2.00pm every Friday, the church is open for private prayer and meditation.
