About Us
When you come into Godalming you can't miss us! We are on Bridge Road - the main road from Guildford into the town, right by the town bridge. The River Wey runs along one side of us and the modern fire station is on the other side, whilst behind us the lovely Lammas lands stretch out - golden with buttercups in summer, the site of the town bonfire in winter!

The building in which we meet was put up in 1903 but has been recently renovated, re-roofed and improved as part of an ongoing commitment to make all our premises more suitable for today. Our extensive suite of premises have been added to over the years and now provide an important community facility.

But the church is more than buildings - it is a living community of people. This church community is both old and new. Old in the sense that Methodist and United Reformed (Congregational) communities have been in the town for over 150 years; new in the sense that the United Church was formed from those two traditions in 1977, from which we now date our history. This is faithfully recorded in the book "Coming of Age". The Church values its membership of the Guildford Methodist Circuit and the Wessex Synod of the United Reformed Church.
